Spring Orientation is quickly approaching!

We are so excited to have our new students join us at Health Works Institute!
Orientation is the first step on your new career path, and it’s important to start out on the right foot!
In order to be prepared for orientation, keep these important details in mind, and follow our guidelines.

KNOW YOUR SCHEDULE!

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday April 24th through April 26th 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Thursday, April 27th 9:00 am 12:00 pm

Lunch breaks vary from 45 minutes to one hour.
All students are required to attend all hours of all orientation days.

REMEMBER YOUR MATERIALS!

You will need your entire Orientation Packet, which includes…

  • Enrollment Agreement
    • Please read this carefully
    • Must be initialed on every page and signed and dated on the last page
  •  Emergency Contact Sheet
    • Fill this out completely!
  •  Information Selection Form
  •  You will need your Student Handbook. It is important that you read this carefully before attending orientation. You will be quizzed on its contents!

DRESS FOR SUCCESS!

Every student is required to wear scrubs to orientation and to class. Black pants and either black or solid-colored tops are required. Scrubs should not be tight-fitting. You can purchase scrubs at the following locations:

  • Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply
  • Balco Uniforms in Four Corners
  • Wal*Mart
  • Various online retailers

START MAKING CONNECTIONS!

The Massage Therapy and Esthetics programs will attend Orientation together. This gives you the opportunity to meet your classmates as well as the new students in the other program. Take the time to introduce yourself and get to know one another. Class is always more enjoyable with a new friend!

BE READY TO LEARN!

Orientation includes the Learning Strategies course, which will give you a strong start for the academic challenges of your program. Don’t forget to bring the print-out with your results on the Kaleidoscope online questionnaire! You’ll be using this information to identify the study skills, test-taking tools and classroom activities that work best for your learning style.

We are excited to guide you on this life-changing experience!

The coaching, theories and techniques presented in our Massage Therapy and Esthetics programs help students actualize positive changes in their own lives while mastering the skills necessary to help their clients meet their own life goals.
Our holistic approach, exceptional curriculum, and experienced faculty set our students up for a successful livelihood as well as the opportunity to positively impact the lives of those around them. We can’t wait to share our passion for massage and esthetics with you!
See you April 24th!
